This
hadith indicates that the Khilafah will come to the land of Al-Quds. It
cannot be said that the Khilafah came to it during the Khilafah of
‘Umar (RA), because the earthquakes, troubles and tumultuous events did
not come at that time. T
his means that there will be a second coming of the Khilafah in which these events will follow.
عن سلمة بن نفيل الكندي قال : كنت جالسا عند رسول الله صلى الله عليه و سلم فقال رجل يا رسول الله أذال الناس الخيل ووضعوا السلاح وقالوا لا جهاد قد وضعت الحرب أوزارها فأقبل رسول الله صلى الله عليه و سلم بوجهه وقال كذبوا الآن الآن جاء القتال ولا يزال من أمتي أمة يقاتلون على الحق ويزيغ الله لهم قلوب أقوام ويرزقهم منهم حتى تقوم الساعة وحتى يأتي وعد الله والخيل معقود في نواصيها الخير إلى يوم القيامة وهو يوحي إلي أني مقبوض غير ملبث وأنتم تتبعوني أفنادا يضرب بعضكم رقاب بعض وعقر دار المؤمنين الشام
Salamah bin Nufail Al-Kindi RA says that one day I was sitting with Prophet Muhammad SAW that a person said” O Prophet of Allah! The value of horse has decreased in the eyes of people and they have left the weapons and they say that Jihad has ended, because battle has ended “. On (listening) it the Prophet Muhammad SAW faced him and said” they are lying, fighting has stopped for now and a section (group) of my Ummah will always fight (do Jihad) for the truth. Allah will turn them away from Kufr to Imaan and will give them rizq from amongst them until Qiyamah and until the promise of Allah comes. And Allah has written good in the forehead of horses until Qiyamah. And He has revealed on me that my ruh will be taken away and you will follow me after dividing into several groups, and you will kill each other. And the center (‘Uqr) of Momineen (believers) is Ash-Shaam.
What does Ash-Shaam include?
Ash-Shaam is the region which covers Jordan, Syria, Palestine, Lebanon and part of Iraq. And some narrations (as mentioned above) refer specifically to ‘the Holy Land’ i.e. Al-Quds when using the word Ash-Shaam.
